Official 930 Club Belle and Sebastian Echostage June 11 Show

Real B&S fans take the Bus
uhhh . . . parking at black cat.
If it was not for the parking and the people, I would go to more shows in DC.

man I remember the good old days where you could always find a spot within one block of the black cat any night of the week and Yum's was your only option for food

…well of course you had to make sure you had 'the club' and detachable face to your radio too

so you want shows without people or without people from DC?
I try to avoid going to shows in DC.  To each their own.  I prefer the crowds at Baltimore shows (with some exceptions).
You, are, weird.  But I like it.

I think you might like Echostage.. the neighborhood around it is very much like Baltimore…the sound however…
From what I am reading, the sound is just like baltimored, too . . . Shitty.

The same could be said for you!  ;D
Back on topic…what is everyone doing for parking? Any options for car pooling or a boardie shuttle bus?

I kinda like the idea of shuttle bus running between the Backbar and Echostage.

I'll be taking the bus to the show, but I'll (likely) be catching a ride back from a driving friend.

Since it’s a pretty special home show for us this Friday, we’ve decided to record the performance for posterity. Therefore we are excited to announce that we’ve teamed up with live music retailers Concert Live to bring you our Glasgow Hydro Arena performance in bespoke, instantly available three disc CD format, complete with original artwork and packaging

I'll pick up a copy of this. They've been a roll lately, has anyone been checking the setlists? Playing classics from across their catalog and really digging for deep cuts.

I have a bunch of audience bootlegs, so it will be nice to get an "official" copy. The only other official bootleg I have of theirs is the 2006 show at 9:30 after the New Pornographers (I'll share it here if anyone wants a copy). LOVE IT still, though I didn't attend because I didn't live here at the time.

CORRECTION: the 2006 show wasn't official, but was a NPR recording, and was my introduction into the greatness that is NPR's music effort.

I was at that show…it was a good one. I think the date on it is 3/6/2006. I've also got a really good one from Gothenburg in 2004 (I think this was broadcast on the radio), and the show from Belfast as a bonus disc to the BBC Sessions compilation is really great. I love the guy in the audience who is recruited to sing "I'm Waiting for the Man". Also, don't forget on iTunes there's the live version of "If You're Feeling Sinister". I actually listen to it more than the studio version.

YES, I agree, it's 10x better than the studio version, though I don't listen to it much anymore.
Too bad they never released that one on CD  :'(
It has been decided that Bagley and I will be making last minute parking decisions about this show.
