A friend is trying to register and keeps getting "this profile number cannot be overriden". Any clue?

this means eddie will be sending me an email soon and i will then run the maintenance routine to fix the registration problem. will be done this evening…

It means the mods are screening for "cred" and, unfortunately, your friend didn't make the cut. Sorry.

Perhaps with your recommendation, however, this may happen yet.

Wouldn't it be hilarious of the board could assign us names according to our personalities? I'm sure most of us would get a "Hipster" label, I know I'd get something like "Musical Snob 21". (Hey, I know what I am.) I wonder who would get "Cranky" or "Poser".

has your friend tried deleting all MP3s on his computer of bands that have sold more than 5000 albums before registering for this board? that might help with the cred-check. facial hair doesn't hurt either, if he happens to have his eyeball cam on.

off the top of my head, i'd get LovingMyOwnOpinion.

interestingly enough, we already have one board who was a beta-tester for this auto-generated username functionality: Weird Little Self Loathing Man.

She's mean. Last week she killed a squirrel. I had to throw it in the trash. It was a whole squirrel with a small piece missing. Squirrel sushi. Suffice to say there was no face-licking for a coupla days.
