Favorite Concerts of 2015

Best show of the year for me was MONO at R&R Hotel, the run of Manic Street Preachers DC/NYC/Boston shows being second and a shit ton of honorable mentions in no particular order, honestly I didn't catch a show this year that let me down:
Ride (NYC and DC)
Death
Jason Isbell
My Morning Jacket
Toadies
Sturgill Simpson
Rush
Deceased
King Diamond
Leon Bridges
Rolling Stones
Deafheaven
Geto Boys
Oddisee
Reverend Horton Heat
Dale Watson
Rosie Flores
Robert Gordon
Chris Duarte
REO Speedwagon (was never really a fan but was comped front row seats and actually had a great time)
Hum
Failure
Prince
Replacements
Midge Ure
Benjamin Booker
Torche
Obliterations
Beach House
Culture Club
Exodus
Thor
King's X
Pentagram
Power Trip
Foreseen

The only band that stands out as sucking real bad where I walked away to grab dinner was Hellyeah who were playing before King Diamond
(and hopefully the 2 Foals shows I catch this week don't suck haha and that'll be it for the year)
That's a shame that Hellyeah weren't very good. I would've thought they kill it on stage.

I watched a few songs because I was glad to see Vinnie still playing drums and musically they were tight but their singer was god awful.
I think I only go to shitty concerts.

They just announced a show in RVA in March. I almost want to go see them now just to see how bad they are to merit this response.

Ok, I will.

You might like them.  Did you already check out their music?

No. I literally have not heard of them. I saw your post and then 30 min later a local venue posted a show announcement. Wouldn't have registered with me otherwise.

Refused @ RNR Hotel
Bjork @ King's Theater

This was a down year for me, but, for my money, the best shows of 2015 were (roughly in this order):

2015/06/09 Florence + The Machine @ Merriweather Post Pavilion – just stands out as the best performance of the year
2015/09/27 The Jesus and Mary Chain @ 9:30 Club – most memorable show, electrifying
2015/02/10 Glen Hansard @ Lincoln Theatre – he performed for nearly three hours, and it still felt like it wasn't enough!
2015/07/10 The New Pornographers/Thao & the Get-Down, Stay-Down @ 9:30 Club – left this show with the biggest smile on my face
2015/10/29 Garbage @ 9:30 Club – surprisingly, remarkably fun show; the crowd was really into it
2015/02/24&25 Sleater-Kinney @ 9:30 Club – it's Sleater-fucking-Kinney, baby!
2015/03/04 The Juliana Hatfield Three @ Black Cat – exceeded my expectations by a wide margin
These are the shows that stood out for me.  In somewhat alphabetical order…

We were right next to each other at Prince!
Any 2015 show regrets?  I regret not grabbing a Death Grips ticket before they sold out.  I also regret skipping Exodus at Black Cat.
oh I have many regrets.. its not unusual that I don't go see a band and then I really start listening to their music and am like 'hey when are they coming to town?'

I think I regret missing Def Leppard.. I been listening a lot to their first two albums.. very rockin'….they played Nissan this year but look like they are skipping next year….

I regret drinking 49 beers before the Luna DC show…
