Iggy Pop Philadelphia April 15 show roll call

Epic doesn't even begin to describe it. The performance was stellar. One of my favorite concerts ever.

Oh, I was at the same hotel as the band. I'll just simply say this: I couldn't have had a nicer or favorable interaction with meeting any of them. Fairly short but very sweet.

Pic or it didn't happen! ; )
Smackie you know it did. ;) No orgy though, I can promise you that.
oh my god the 'c'mere big boy' bit was frickin hilarious. Iggy just launched himself off the stage at that guy. Everybody went down. That was like during the 3rd or 4th song, wasn't it?

Amazing concert all around.
Yeah like the third song! No one saw that coming hahaha. I also like how he would not leave the stage. It was his night at the opera and he would not leave until he was good and ready!
That was one of my favorite concerts of all time. I cannot stop thinking about how perfect Josh's guitar solo was during "Tonight". Those guys played with such joy. Matt Sweeney and Josh's interplay was just insane. I got to hang out a little with Matt and he's so salt of the earth.
Hope this tour somehow makes it to DC, bummed I missed it in Philly.
So bummed I missed this :(
me too.  :(

I'm sorry too. I know how much of a QOTSA fan you are and they were the perfect accompanying band to Iggy. Matt Sweeney and Matt Helders were a terrific rhythm section too. Matt Sweeney and Josh have known each other since they were 19 and you could see that it was a dream come true for them. The magic of it was not lost on them. They were overjoyed and they played their hearts out. When Dean looked at the audience and at Iggy, it was nothing but total awe. This is the show I want to always remember Iggy for. For as much as I loved the 3 Stooges shows I saw, this was on another level and better than any other Iggy solo show I've seen.

Sounds awesome even without Josh and them, I've never gotten to see Iggy and everything I've heard about the shows sounds super fun.

In case you guys didn't catch Iggy and Josh on the Nerdist podcast from a couple weeks back. Super great insight and funny stories from Iggy and Josh's past and working on the record and tour stuff.

Tonight. This was one of my very favorites.

This is probably a good thread to drop this in… a very old friend's documentary (which was funded by kickstarter) is getting pretty great reviews.

Don't think anyone left that Iggy show disappointed.  ;D

"Nightclubbing" was the favorite song that they played….Josh's guitar parts was loud and perfect. It really elevated that song to the next level.

Iggy was genuinely excited to be there and so so funny…

"Turn on the lights or I'll cut your dick off…. this is MY night at the opera!"  ;D ;D ;D

Beautiful venue too, btw.
yes..venue was amazing.

my favorite song was The Passenger…gave me goosebumps… have always loved that song..first introduced to it by the SIouxsie and the Banshees version on Through the Looking Glass
There were so many highlights from this show. The Passenger, Repo Man and Some Weird Sin for sure! That new song Paraguay was really awesome too. I love how it sounded like Iggy fronting QOTSA for some of the new ones. Matt Sweeney on bass was excellent too. I wanna go check out his back catalog now. I would go see this tour again in a heartbeat if it comes to DC or Baltimore. I won't hold my breath on it though. I think its supposed to be a short tour on purpose.

Me too. Glad it was awesome though.
