Official 930 Club Pleated Pants Thread

Pleats have not been in style at any point in this century.

You cant be serious.  You wear pleated pants and do not know what they are?  I don't believe you, but if you are indeed that uninformed in regards to pants; pleated pants are pants with creases sewn into them, like so:

They have not been in style this century.

I have no idea what pleated pants are..just looked them up on internet.. I got this pair for like $2 at some church thrift store.. I really don't give a shit about clothes.. I also have a nice pair of bell bottoms  (same color but corduroy-like)

What do I care what is in style? I guess that is the way you are.. living in fear of what people think or say about you.. no way to be but it explains your insecurity on this board..
No matter what, at least I do not wear pleated pants.

well if you don't like them I don't think you should wear them!

so did she like them? I'm guessing yes.
It is not about personal likes or dislikes.  It is about looking good.

if it weren't for that damn Manager/Husband of hers….we had surprisingly good chemistry… my partner is really angry I didn't take her but nothing would have ever happened if I had…

If you are comfortable and enjoy wearing them go for it!! What is or is not "in-style" or "hip" is not important. Please yourself. And remember, some talented fashion designer designed these pleated pants, so everyone should show their respect.
Pleated pants and Yuengling.

I did some sleuthing and I think Killsally isn't quite as up on the latest fashion trends as he likes to think he is…

The Wall Street Journal. Harbinger of fashion trends.
Well you learn something new every day!.. I had no idea….. one thing I learned a long time ago is I couldn't care less about what the sheeple/herd think….  in fact I tend to like the idea of being more like a "salmon"…. there's also that famous line from the Woody Allen movie..
"The… the other important joke, for me, is one that's usually attributed to Groucho Marx; but, I think it appears originally in Freud's "Wit and Its Relation to the Unconscious," and it goes like this - I'm paraphrasing - um, "I would never want to belong to any club that would have someone like me for a member."
A Commenter on the WSJ Thread said it well:

@Michael Garcia I would add, who are these men that even care what the fashion industry thinks or says!  Of  course, there are small fraction that follow the trends, but if it's available, it looks good, it's of sufficient quality, and it's comfortable, I'll buy.  As another commenter notes, I have never stopped wearing pleats!
"If it looks Good."

A single pleat pants from a decent company might look ok (J Crew etc).

Pleated pants with multiple pleats. Will. Never. Look. Good.
Cargo shorts are also out of style, in case some of you didn't hear.

I wear shorts once a year so this does not affect me….
