Since it seems like my opinions on music entertain some and upset others, I decided to create a thread where I can keep my opinions on bands in an easy to find place.  Post a band/solo artist and I will give my opinion on them.  My replies will range from one dismissive word, to several paragraph essays.
Carly Rae Jepsen
The Archies
Bananarama
The California Raisins
The Noid from those Dominos commercials in the 1980s
The Where's The Beef Lady
A girl with cankles but who kinda makes you laugh sometimes
Linda Tripp
I need some time to reply to these.
Josh Hartnett, but specifically in his role as Trip Fontaine from the Virgin Suicides
James Woo— oh, shit, I'm sorry killsaly, I just went into a free-association spiral there for a minute. Didn't mean to railroad your thread!

My bad, guys!

Carly Rae Jepsen
I am not super familiar with her music.  I was definitely not listening to pop music when "Call Me Maybe" dropped (my love of certain pop stars like Miley, JB, and SOMETIMES Tay, is a new development) but I could not escape it and find it to be catchy.  I did recently listen to most of her new EP, and thought it was well written and produced and had a vaguely 80s vibe to the tracks I listened to (though with 2010s production and sheen), and I should finish it.  I had to search for a picture of her and she is good looking, so that is always a plus for a pop star.

The cartoon band?  They are before my time.  I cant comment on their music.

Another one before my time… I mainly know them from razor commercials and catching a random song here and there on SiriusXM's classic alternative channel.  They are cool, I do not instantly skip them when I see their name pop up on my satellite radio.  I have been on a big 80s kick since last summer though, so that helps.

I was going to post that I did not like them, but then I started counting how much of their catalog that I actually enjoy and have owned over the years…  U2 albums through the Joshua Tree are good.  But, most of the stuff newer than the Joshua Tree that I have heard, I have not liked.

BUT, "Hold Me, Thrill Me, Kiss Me, Kill Me" is an amazing song and probably my favorite of anything that they have ever done. I would go see them if someone gave me a ticket.

I of course meant "skip on my radio dial if they come on", and I was not skipping posting my opinion.

I do like that cover Stone Temple Pilots did.

I was once at a festival that Robert Plant and Alison Krauss were performing at, and I decided I would go check them out.  I did not last a whole song, and hightailed it as far out of earshot as I could run on the last day of the festival.

Now, let the record reflect this is a legitimate musical act I wish for you to critique.
