930 CLUB TICKET CHARGES ARE OUT OF CONTROL!

$10 on a $25 ticket for Teenage Fanclub???

Come on man.. there has to be a better way to make a buck…
I paid $1 fee for the same show.

BTW, their new album is boring.
I thought we try to have SFW thread titles…  ::)

Are you saying that an employer who doesn't care that you make 7.996 posts per day on a message board, likely many of those during work hours, is going to care about a cuss word on one of the pages?
I made the statement in general.  It might not personally cause ME any issues, but I know plenty of people here work in environments where that could cause an issue.
It was always Rhett's complaint because his works filters would block the site.

Thank god he's not here any more…..

Who are we if we don't watch out for the little people?

well.. I'm well aware I can save money by buying day off or in person (speaking of looking out for the little guy not always possible for the little guy)….. heck I can probably even find a cheap ticket.. I wanted to buy the ticket now over the internet cause I was feeling excited about the show..but $10 on a $25 ticket is a no go….

their new album seems about what I expected….but Teenage Fanclub at their best is a band one needs to listen to the songs and the album many times before forming any idea.. I think…they ain't exactly Sabbath
Can we address that "FUCKING A" is generally a statement of delight or approval? I don't get its use in this context.

yeah I listened to it all day and I have to disagree….I'm not necessarily loving all the songs just yet but it takes time…but there are enough songs on the album that i do love so I can say its probably my favorite since SFNB

I think it's more a surprised thing? Like when you're in shock, whether positive or negative. It's all situation to situation. I've mostly ever heard it as a positive or in agreement with something.

Oh, see that's interesting. I always think of like a British ruffian going "Fuckin A, mate" after a footie goal thing.
I took it as Hutch calling Seth a fucking asshole, because that's what fucking a stands for.  And if I was Seth, I wouldn't take it lightly.

Julian, you're referring to fuckin' 'el, short for fucking hell.  And yes, common in Commonwealth pub talk.

Oh, see, I've been mishearing that all along. My mistake.
