META: Boardie of the Year 2016

Please begin to deliberate and consider your vote for Boardie of the Year…..


We had a fascinating 2016 this year… Relaxer regaled us with stories of his suddenly copious sex life and correctly predicted the Trump presidency…. much to our chagrin..

Unfortuantely we lost a long time comrade of our band of brothers- Killsally- may he be well and may he rejoin us soon.. hobo rock has lost its main board voice.. nobody has been able to fill the gaping hole… /..

Wal,kie scared us.. leaving the board but fortunately coming back just when all hope was nearly lost…..Walkie is always susceptible to leaving us in a huff but its nice to know that like a lost dog he always will come home..,

there were some interpersonal contretemps mostly involving me  but anger counseling has been productive for me although there have been some notable setbacks (i.e., Parsleygate)…

Of course, as always,  a strong case could be made for Julian who took a leave of abscence but came back stronger than ever with the brilliance of the Integers Thread prompting a bunch of ill advised copycat attempts to replicate his success….17297

vansmack proved once again he's really got it going on over there in the city where Marconi plays the mamba…

THe 930 began the year with a bang with its wonderful exhibit, added some TV show and is finishing up by buttressing its already notable Hall of Records….not to mention we await the Donation Drive with the raffle that can make our dreams for 2017 all come true…

A few people lost their jobs due to spending too much time on the board but they did find gainful employment….

Kosmo had a higher workload than usual overseeing the board but managed to carry out his duties with aplomb…

and Yada continues to request Ween in vain…. come on Seth, help a brother out!

Thank you for your vote, but I feel 2015 was probably my more definitive victory. Its hard to think the voters would give me the back-to-back.

I mean 2015 I brought you GwwarBQ. 2016 I taught everyone a valuable life lesson by taking a hiatus and letting the board dry up in my absence and then I reinvented boarding and made post counts irrelevant via the integers thread. 2016 has been a good run but 2015 topped it.

I mean, the Integers thread clearly wins thread of the year but this is one of those "Argo" scenarios where something wins Best Picture but fails to also get Best Director.

This is like when they'd given Michael Jordan MVP so many times they gave it to Karl Malone just to shake things up. Time to acknowledge someone else.

Actually, Julian, I think you're right. If I had to give my honest opinion about boardie of the year, I think it would be hutch. That mother f***** won't stop, and posts the most, gives the most content, and carries the most load of this place.

Nothing would sum up the year Trump gets elected President much like Hutch getting named Boardie of the Year. I second the nomination.

whoaa..come on now…lets not get carried away… as the organizer of the 2016 Boardie of the Year Awards Ceremony I cannot be in the running…. It is enough for me this year to know I joined the 10K Club and have received my special jacket….
