we already have plans for '24: friends in ohio have invited us to crash their place and see the eclipse from their backyard :)  i'd like to go further south and get a longer totality, but the peak is in central mexico (4:28!) and i don't see myself hanging about there… maybe we can upgrade to texas.

well this information did come to me on the day Virginia legalized weed…so there is that

longer totality is always the goal…dead center of the path is critical
If you can find a high point and see it as it comes it would be recommended

Just realized my parent's place is right in the center between Buffalo and Erie (Duration of totality: 3 minutes, 47 seconds)
