Any Maryland Grads/College Park residents on here?

Going to be in College Park on Saturday. Looking for anything fun to do on the campus before the football game. Art museum looks cool but  appears closed on Saturday.

Also appreciate any dining recommendations near the stadium (parking very close by). Going with someone with subpar mobility so a mile+ walk is not preferable. Thanks,
Try not to get shot…
Burn a couch.

I said I was going to College Park, not East Lansing.

what kind of ham-planet are you hanging out with that can't walk a mile?

Thanks for these replies.  I always thought UMD started the whole couch burning trend, but a little research shows they didn't start until 2001.  MSU did it in 1999 and apparently, WVU started doing it in the '60s.
Kapnos Taverna just opened.  Haven't been, but you can pretty much be assured of yumminess.

Old Maryland Grill also just opened.  Also haven't been.  Brought to you by the Frankin's team.

If you're going to a game, you'll want to go to the original Ledo's in its newish location.  You should resist this urge, as everyone else will be there.

All three have on-site parking that is free or cheap.

The kind of ham-planet that weighs ~110 pounds and has had 15 surgeries on her spinal column.

Hey, thanks. Was not going to attempt to go to Ledo's but those other two recommendations look nice.

I feel like we sent you a selfie. You tell me.
Can confirm that kapnos is worthy of the YSOA.
Franklin's in Hyattsville.  Down Rt 1 - you'd have to drive there.

Well, there's food and there's "food".
Just crash a Michigan tailgate.  There will probably be more Michigan fans there than Terps fans.  And bundle up.
If you park by the stadium, everything is more than a mile away (except the student union and a dorm diner). Park closer to downtown and take a shuttle to the stadium.

I will be arriving mid-game, to use the campus gym (I time it so that the game traffic is gone by the time I leave).

Uh, we are hosting a Michigan tailgate. . .

Will you also be using the campus gym?
my hood is just around the corner from CP and if you are willing to brave the wilds of Beltsville which is north on Route One.. We enjoy Da Rae Won which is a Korean noodles place.  The thumping noise from the kitchen is them making fresh noodles on site.  Be prepared for a possible wait as its popular at night especially with Asians.  Be sure to go to the restaurant in the back part as there are Two Korean joints there.
