Biden Transition thread - ya know because they read this shit

Pompeo just now: “There will be a smooth transition to a second Trump administration."

Ya know the guy who is in charge of Foreign relations…not domestic
I can't stand Pompeo

Oh and we have a state-sponsored protest this weekend in dc?!?!

Democrats are scheming to disenfranchise and nullify Republican votes. It’s up to the American people to stop it.

Along with President Trump, we will NOT back down to ensure the integrity of this election for the good of the nation. This is a coalition/team effort. We need boots on the ground to protect the integrity of the vote.

This is weird, right?
This will sound weirder, but I really didn't have a problem with the way Pompeo talked about the transition. He did say exactly what everyone is alarmed about BUT he was clear that there is a process and we have to get it right and the entire world is watching us.  All of that is true.

To be clear, I am no fan of his.

WE ARE NOT EVER GONNA PROOFREAD MOTHERFUCKERS!!!

[glow=red,2,300]Do you think the election is being stolen from President Trump?

Have you told the people who represent you in DC?

Use this Rally Congress to tell your member of Congress and Senators that you dispute the results of the election and demand election integrity. We'll make sure that your are RSVP'd as a VIP to the March for Trump in DC on Saturday November 14.[/glow]
You think it’s something to joke about?

I would call that highly irresponsible

The man is supposed to be our chief diplomat but doesn’t realize how inappropriate that was…and it wasn’t entirely a joke..it was meant to signal to Trump’s base

Yes. I would be surprised by that.
what if he just asks some crazy Americans to do that instead…I'd be less surprised by that than the Russian ask

Vermont has a Republican governor, who could then appoint a Republican replacement for Bernie. Bernie aint going nowhere.

If Biden were to select Sanders for the position, Vermont's Republican Gov. Phil Scott would name an interim successor and then, by law, schedule a special election to fill the seat. Scott has said he would select "a more left-leaning type of independent that would obviously caucus with the Democrats" should Sanders take a job in the administration.

but if I had a dollar for every time a republican 'said' something…
I will say…kinda bummed we likely won't be able to have a big inauguration like in years past
was looking forward to taking my kids down to the mall to see it this time around
I am planning to party hard that week…

I will try to do it responsibly

But I have earned it.. I have hardly done anything since March!!

The likely continuity between the Obama and Biden administrations is striking as are the number of likely women and people of color

Ron Klain as COS is probably a good pick.

Seems like hutch has good intel
President-elect Biden is poised to announce his chief of staff as early as Thursday, a top Biden official says. There is no final decision yet but multiple sources familiar with the matter say Ron Klain is the leading contender.

Confirmed shortly after
Ronald Klain@RonaldKlain
I’ve seen so many kind wishes tonight on this website. Thank you - and I’m sorry I can’t reply to each of you.
I’m honored by the President-elect’s confidence and will give my all to lead a talented and diverse team in a Biden-Harris WH.
Well it’s been vox Populi for weeks!

Seeing him so many nights on O’Donnell well he seems like a good dude and kind of normal (but one never knows)

It’s like they are just going to promote everyone from the second term of Obama administration one rank up

Biden just seems so disciplined about everything…

crazy…hiring people for highly important and complex jobs…with actual experience…total shocker, didn't think presidents did that anymore
It’s such a breath of fresh air

It’s such a relief
