Atlantis Lottery Method?

Does anyone have any insight as to how the lottery will be executed?

For example, you could get 12 entries for your first choice, 11 for your second… one for your twelfth pick.. and then just a random draw of all entries for each show.

OR they could choose names and then you get your first pick. If that's not available, then your second pick. Etc.

There are a number of different ways this could be done, and it has implications for your choices (even though I think the hype machine will make lottery chances extraordinarily slim and the re-sale market is probably the best bet).

Has anyone heard anything?

I don't get your question,  but put the show or shows you want to see the most first… and no, you can't list 12 foo fighters shows

Since we all know Seth is a woke globalist communist, here is what I propose the most DEI method would be.

1. If you are trans, you get all the shows you want.

2. If you are not trans, these are the rules.

You'll notice that they say they will be dropping the results by show throughout the week. Hence Let's say they do Foo Fighters first. If your first choice is Foo Fighters, you're in the lottery. They pick 225 Foo Fighter winners (assume everyone wants two ticket, adjust the 225 depending on…) If your first choice is not Foo Fighters, you're not getting Foo Fighters tickets.

Next up is the Walkmen. 30 people have them as first choice. They get the tickets. 30 more have them as second choice. They get tickets. All 450 tickets are gone by say round seven. If you had them in your first seven picks, you got the tickets. If you didn't, you don't.

Ok, next band they draw for is Tank and the Bangas. Let's say five people had them as their first choice. They get the tickets. Then lets say five more had them as second choice. They get the tickets. Then after 12 rounds (or is it 11(?),) they find that maybe they've sold half the tickets. At that point (or more likely waiting until the next week when all the lotteries are over), they put the leftover tickets onsale to the general public for half price.

I think that covers the three main possibilities.

You're welcome. I know Seth and staff read the forum constantly, so I figured if I posted it here early enough, they'd have time to program it.

I mean what you explained makes sense, but I see the process being much more random and simplified.

I am not sure what the most equitable way to do this is….Lots of questions


What about a person who wants tickets for just one show vs one that puts in for ten? What about a person who puts in for one ticket vs two? Also is it fair to kick someone down because they put in for Foos where your odds must be like 0.1%?

I admit logic is not my forte though…

Also talk of people putting in ticket requests from places as far as Australia! Should it be limited to locals?

Also wondering if there will be a dry run like the Anthem had? Guessing not

Correct, which is why it's called a lottery. Space's method sounds good on the internet, but it ain't happening.

Additionally, that's why I put in for 12 shows, because the likely hood of landing any of these is prob. slim to none unless your #1 pick is Banga Boys or Haniball Lector.

My feeling is that shows like the Foos and other stadium-sized acts (which there are a few)
You have to have it first and then be that lucky .001% to nab one of those 300 tickets (I think there is going to be at least a 150-person guest list for this first show)
because the qty is so small for each show, seems silly that anyone who has more than a 3 picks will get any of those shows

I think the best odds would be to pick one of the less popular acts as your 1st pick Bartels/Tank/Matt&Kim/Hannible

seems like they should have just said: Pick your top 3 in order
I really don't think anyone's #3 pick will get selected, the odds just are not there

What I think might be a good idea is
Round 1: only 400 tickets and then randomly select 400 from the #1 picks
Round 2: 40 tickets: randomly select from #2 picks
Round 3: 10 tickets: randomly select from anyone who picked that band at any pick

I know this is not the way, but this is the way I'd do it

I'm sure they will have something, but at that capacity, they really don't even have to sell tickets, there are enough IMP staff to fill it

for the record, they only do a $1 credit at first

and there is no way you'd get 12 shows…no way

and if you did, there will be a fan-to-fan resale option, so you won't have to hold on to them either
they are not transferable

Also if you get two tix, both people have to arrive at the same time

1. You're not going to hit all 12
2. If you did, my assumption is you're not picking the bands that shouldn't be $44
3. You'll be able to sell them immediately on the ticket exchange if it really put you in that much of a pickle
4. That $1200 will go towards points to the next $pace family vacation that you can post about for the next year.

Yeah, I feel like this wouldn't affect your chances either positively or negatively.

Why would they ask you to prioritize your show preferences if it’s not going to affect anything?
