DC area local band shows

I would say they are entirely off the grid tier wise but I enjoyed them…

The “School’s Out” matinee by  Breakfast All Day Records
features alt-rockers Scoria; jammy act Lola; and the Plastic Toys, a trio that features one-third of the label’s brain trust on drums.

Breakfast All Day Records was launched by Bethesda high-schoolers last year. The label’s mission statement was published on Instagram but could have been released any time in the last 40 years: “With so many exciting things happening in the teenage music scene locally, we want to work to document and share it with you.” (June 8 at 1:30 p.m. at Songbyrd. songbyrddc.com. $12-$15.)

Saw Ekko Astral opening for Ted Leo last night at the club.  Highly recommend! Never before witnessed an all female mosh pit take place…

Based on name alone, don’t think I would take free tickets to see either of these bands
Black Cat:

12/27 - THE SHIRKS/BABY ALCATRAZ & THE AURELIONS/TEEN COBRA
12/28 - SALAD DAYS 10TH ANNIVERSARY PARTY - HAMMERED HULLS/BIRTHDAY GIRL DC… and more

described as: DC’s “Tenacious Double Ds”

“Revolution (Poop At Work)” which catapulted the duo to viral infamy and a strong following with over 25 million organic views of their videos on Instagram, more than 15 million of those views for that song alone. Even Questlove commented on the song, saying “LOL I feel seen, I see my version as a political act.”
