No-go on tix for JT

Anyone here have any success in getting a pair of tickets for Justin Timberlake?

I hit the link in the e-mail exactly one second after 10 AM - and proceded to spend the past twelve minutes watching a pretty 30-second count-down timer, 24 times in a row. It was awesome! much better than actually getting tickets!!! In fact, I'm going to stop bitching here and go back to my other browser window so I can watch that count-down again!!!

This system SUCKS. I mean, gimme something - either tickets, or a "sorry sold out" message. Lame "please hold" type screens are insulting.

Bah, I didn't *actually* want to impress my GF, for once, anyways.
I actually got to a window that says "We're sorry, we were unable to process your request due to high transaction volumes. Please try to submit your request again." And I just keep hitting the "continue" button over and over and over…
Keep trying, I got mine about 10:15 after waiting through all those messages.
damn it-I got the same message over and over again and now the 930 site says it is sold out. I hope they add another show.
dhinojwala: so, how much were service charges etc on top of the 2 X $55 for the tickets?

i know this won't make me popular here, but here goes anyways: for crazy over-subscribed shows (like foo fighters, JT, etc), maybe the 9:30 should consider tasking (brace for it) Ticketmaster with the selling job. Tickets.com just doesn't seem to be able to deal with the traffic.

25+ minutes after I hit the link, I'm still getting count-downs. the show MUST be sold-out by now. normally i'm happy with tickets.com, slightly lower fees that ticketbastard, but at times like these I'd pay a bit more for better service.

flame on.
The main 930 page says it's sold out.

Still can't get past the waiting room though.
You guys should have gone to a tickets.com outlet for a high-demand show like this :)
move him to DAR you can sell 3x the tickets :-)

I got as far as entering the number code thingie and then it sent me right back to this. Bah.
I hear you on that…. I did the same thing right at the stroke of 10am and waited and waited til I finally went to the 930 website to see they were already sold out. I am really really disappointed!!!

true dat, Joe - thanks for the tip.

I hope they add another show.
doesn't look likely. JT is playing a bunch of club dates (chicago, boston, etc) and they're all one-offs. looks like we're all S.O.L.

and in other news, it's now 35 minutes since i hit the link, still in the waiting room. amazing. can't the system figure out it's sold out?!? of course not.
What about that nice little note at the top that reads "Please Note: Tickets No Longer Available"?

I didn't get as far as service charges. I saw the "type this slightly deformed number to confirm you're not a bot" window, typed in the number, and then saw the "high volume" message over and over. Eventually it said "tickets not available in the quantity you want" message. I kept trying until a minute or two ago…I thought I remembered some people claiming to get tickets for the B&S concerts last fall even after it was "sold out"…apparently tickets are thrown back into the system sometimes when credit card numbers are mis-typed or don't go through properly.

When I saw the "virtual waiting room" screen when I first logged on at 9:59am, I figured I was in trouble…does Ticketmaster have a similar method for high-demand shows? I'm disappointed I didn't get tickets, but there's also a "thrill of the hunt" element to getting tickets for shows. I tried…girlfriend will understand…hopefully
this is a bunch of crap.

I didn't even move past the waiting room; my friends did and they got online after me… we all got screwed out of tickets though

who the hell did get tickets? 9:30 probably reserved 90% of the tickets and left the rest for us.
Service charge was $17.00 and it'll cost another $4.00 to be mailed to your place.

Keep trying!
