I've been looking foward to this all summer. Should be a fantastic show. :D Who's going?
X/Rollins Band Roll Call
Me too. I've never seen a bad X show; they really know how to give their fans what they want (which for me is everything from the first 3 albums).
I'll be there.

Did the poster working with X and Rollins Band for this show so see if you can spot them there. The silkscreened poster is only available at http://www.eljefedesign.com and in limited quantities.
This is one of the few shows I am really looking forward to all summer and have heard that Rollins Band has been playing extremely well all tour. Hopefully, Henry and Crew will bring a little somthing extra as they come home.

Been looking forward to this one for a while. Can't wait.
Wouldn't miss this for anything!
I'll be there.
Same
Not missing this one…have had tickets for quite a while….
any clues about set times? i'm wondering if i can still catch the end of the rollins set after the foo fighters show…
forget it, just got the answer to my own question… from Rollins Band newsletter:
We are the middle slot of a three band bill on this tour and have been allotted a one hour set. I have never heard The Riverboat Gamblers, who are opening the show but people at the radio station say theyâ??re great and the headliners, X are Xâ??you know theyâ??re going to be great. Should be a good tour. I hope you show up.

The WM3 show was amazing. Rollins Band is only playing for an hour so do not expect much between song banter.
The typical set list for this tour is:
On My Way To The Cage
Burned Beyond Recognition
Disconnect
Low Self Opinion
Divine Object of Hatred
All I Want
Icon
Starve
Volume 4
You Didn't Need
Black and White
Civilized
Liar
Nope, not a band song among them.

The WM3 show was amazing.
The great thing about Rollins is if you miss the show, you can just read the book in a few months.
Caught this show a few days ago in Cleveland and it was great. The Rollins portion was a jumbled version of the post above with the setlist. I've seen him a few times in the past and his recent show is as intense as ever.
Never had seen X before but they really know how to kick out the jams - John Doe and Exene in particular were very energetic and seemed really excited throughout the show. I'm not a megafan but I recognized many of the songs, so its safe to say that they bust out the hits. The guitar player hung out in front of the stage afterwards, signing crap and taking pictures. Very impressive.

I will be there…and it's for The Riverboat Gamblers. They are excellent! Depending on how early the show starts, I might be able to stay and watch X.
Riverboat Gamblers are fun in an Andrew WK meets Bouncing Souls kind of way.
They have put on a couple of great shows at the Ottobar in the past…

Rollins Band were fucking amazing!
X did their usual thing (seen them too many times, they've never blown me away though).
Riverboat Gamblers were mediocre, imo.

Rollins is such an inspiration. 25+ years in the music biz, with some highs and a lot of lows, and he still brings it every time. What a performance. Worth the $25 right there.
I thought the RGs were great. The singers' club crawl grew tiresome, since it distracted everyone from the band, and the songs weren't very strong. But the looked and sounded great.
X… eh. Last time I saw them a couple years ago (with the Fags) I thought they were great. This time they seemed to be just going through the motions. Exene in particular looked like she was annoyed and irritated to be there. John Doe put his all into it, which he always does, and naturally Billy never broke a sweat or his weird maniacal grin.
If it had been just X and RGs, it would've been a letdown. As it was, Rollins made the night.
