How to fit two B&S shows in one night.

OK, I have two tickets in front of me.
"BELLE & SEBASTIAN, 10/20, DOORS 8:30"
"BELLE & SEBASTIAN, 10/20, DOORS 10:30"
So, not to override the other thread on this, but I find this virtually impossible.
Best case scenario:
8:30 doors
8:31 Slumber party on
9:00pm Slumber party off
9:15 B&S on
10:15 B&S off
10:30 doors part 2
and so on…
SO, that means I just dropped $30 on a show that's barely going to have the headliner on for an hour, likely 45 min or so.
That's just crap.
Or, I can drop another $30, and, for $60, see them play a total of about 1 1/2 hours, which is obscene.
What are they thinking?!?!??

doors 8.30?
weekday shows are normally doors at 7.30.
Mankie said his ticket was 7.30.
3 hours is plenty of time.

Are you sure on that 8:30 time?
Perhaps that was the time scheduled when there was only one show. Usually on two show nights, the first show is Doors @ 6:30 or so.

Well then, silly me for thinking what was on the ticket was right. I suppose the rest of us (everyone) who bought tickets before the change will all show up an hour late and miss, what, half the show?

But what do they do when the second show is announced later? If the ticket says 7.30, dont they keep to the 7.30 time?

Well, according to tickets.com, the early show is 7:30. I don't know what the tickets say, but 8:30 sounds funny for a Tuesday night show.

Thenagain, I did buy before the show was even announced (did you hear the great scandal about the announcement? 9:30 announced the show before B&S did, forcing B&S to announce and leave a nasty message to 9:30 on their website.)

Having said that, it's really no biggie, if the show sucks it sucks, and life goes on. If the show starts too early for me to make it on time, then I just got ripped off $70 or whatever it was with the service fees.
Do the doors for the first show still open at 7:30pm as stated on my ticket? "

Buy you all have yet to explain to me how 2 decent shows can be fit into one night, and what will happen to all of us with 8:30 doors tickets, and all that…

i just read a an interview with stuart from b&s………
sounds like he has good taste in music………
A- What do you think of all these new bands, that you see on NME, for example. and some that are not that new, for example. The Strokes, The White Stripes? The new 'scene' or whatever you call it.
S- I must admit I'm the last person you want to ask. I don't think the Strokes have done anything amazing, they're not a great new thing, but I really like them, you play that in a club they get you dancing. I think I like them more than the White Stripes. I quite like The Moldy Peaches, but they're not so hip like other bands. I haven't heard much of other bands, but I heard The Vines at Glastonbury and I didn't think they were very good

B&S 8.45
till 10.15

Here is the description of Slumber Party from allmusic:
Who writes this crap?
Slumber Party conveys stunningly slow femme doom rock with a late-night vibe. Conceived in 1998, they initially structured melodies in the form of edgy chanteuse songcraft. Two years later they signed with major independent label Kill Rock Stars. Slumber Party has since strayed from overt rock formulae in favor of minimalist atmospherics with a phased guitar sensibility. Beat machines and synthesized tones fill the soundscape of achingly haunted and beautifully ornamented songcraft. A powerful sense of restrained intensity characterizes live performances, commanding audiences into a melodramatic seance.
I love it when restrained intensity sends me into a melodramatic seance……

Kill Rock Stars is Sleater-Kinney's label. Doesn't sound like Slumber Party will float my boat, though.
