Releasing tickets???

I thought the 930 had a policy of not releasing tickets? Has the policy changed or is this for the artist who booked four dates and couldn't sell them out?
The 930 must be pissed that she couldn't back up what she claimed she could sell.

I have a friend who books shows out in Denver. I asked her about Melissa Etheridge out there. She is only playing two shows (Fillmore) but basically rented the venue outright and taking the risk on the show. Not sure what the arrangement is at 930 and if the booking policies are the same in regards to who gets the door cut, but my guess is that the arrangements are similar.

So if she's renting the club why does the club sell tickets and promote the show. Wouldn't that be her responsibility?
For example, wouldnâ??t it be like the private events that the club rents itself out for that aren't advertised on the club's website.
How much does it cost to rent out the 930 club on a Friday night?

What do you mean by this? Have they released tix to the two sold out shows (Fri and Sat)?

Didn't someone post earlier that there were fan club tickets available? Maybe all of those weren't used, so they were released to the general public. *shrugs*

I think you are confused. Well you confused me.
Tickets just released. Well it was sold out for two nights, but now there are extra tickets that have become available. Perhaps these were the fan club allocation that did not sell out. Perhaps they were corporate tie in tix that the sponsor cannot attend. Perhaps they only planned on selling 600 tickets so it would sell out quickly, making it look like a bUzZ show. It then as the date gets closer they magically find another 500 tickets, which will obviously be snapped up like the hot-cakes they are.
Why do you think "not releasing tickets means"?
