i had really perfect "seats", tho' we didn't sit, and I have to say, I found much of the concert rather boring. The guys didn't move or interact on stage, the crowd couldn't get into it because of the damn seats, and the long between-song pauses just really kind of killed anything they got going.

truth be told, it wasn't until they played Tiny Cities that I was glad I went. But Tiny Cities alone was so good that it made me feel like the show was worth it.

This was the rare time that I enjoyed having a seat. I probably was not suppose to be out at a concert anyway so being able to sit down ever so often was a good thing. As for the show, it was pretty much what I expected. They played mostly all of the new album, which I assume a large portion of the people wanted to hear. What up with all the people who bought a t-shirt and then put it on right there? It was like a sea of green shirts in my section.

did they play "float on"???

and how much of the audience left after they did ;)

I was siting in the upper level and I would say that within a song or two after Float On (The played another song from the newest album immediately after Float On) that I probably saw somewhere between 20 and 30 people leave.

as I was walking to the corcoran last night around 7:00 I saw a bunch of kids trying to find DAR and I was suddenly very happy I wasn't going there.

I thought they put on a good show notwithstanding the lack of audience appreciation. I liked the visuals as well.

I was telling my friend that as I was waiting for her to arrive that the crowd was reminding me of a mall on friday…so very young

I was kind of disappointed with the top-heavy set list off of good news…there were some of us there who wanted more of the older stuff, lol

and yeah, I got the vibe that the campers werent really happy to be there…..but hearing take the skinheads bowling was worth it

Agreed. I walked in when they were making the powerpoint presentation comments (not sure how much I missed). But TTSHB was awsome. I started mothing the words and those around me just had blank looks on their faces.

god . . . you people need to go to concerts where laziness isn't an issue. if you wanna stand during a show, because you like music being meant to be stood for and grooved to, then tell the old codger, a-holes behind you to stay home and watch vh-1, then. concerts aren't the opera, folks. there are seats at mci, patriot, nissan, merriweather, pier six, others. how many people just sit there throughout the show, complaining? dar is a great place to see a show, you underground "i'd rather be at a dirty club" snotty bastards, and the only time i sit, is when i'm tired of standing. who cares what others think? an usher told me to sit once at a show, and i pulled out my ticket, showed him my seat number, told him i paid sixty some dollars to be there, and i was going to stand if i wanted to. if the people behind me wanted to complain, they can stop going to concerts. he said nothing else. you people have become slaves to what others think at shows. "oh, he's dressed in a stooges shirt; he must cool." no he's not; he could be a total dork. "oh, i don't want to offend anyone with my 'not hurting or bothering anyone by wanting to simply stand and dance at a fricking show' attitude." whatever! go see polka music, if that is how you act. they even stand and party down at country music concerts!

Just saw em in Philly. I thought it was a really good show. Tiny Cities and Paper Thin were definite highlights. I don't think they played anything from Lonesome Crowded West. Would like to have heard Trailer Trash…

they did play trailer trash last night…it was the third or forth song. and yes, the kids found a way to MOSH to that song too..thank god the balcony at EF was 21+

I went to the Saturday show. We definitely didn't get Trailer Trash. I do like how the balcony is 21+ and how they have servers bringing you drinks. I got there early enough to get a spot right on the railing, but would still prefer to be down on the main floor.

yeah, we got there ealy too and sat on the railing right above the sound board. the servers were cool, but they got annoying after a while, since they seemed to all ask me if i wanted a drink every 5 minutes. last night they played a good variety of stuff from Lonesome crowded west, moon and antarctica, good news, and some other randoms. but if they had played shit luck..that would have been it….

it amazed me that there were so many people moshing and crowd surfing.

there was also a fight in the crowd during CVB's set.

david said he wasn't suprised that there was a fight in philly. they replayed the video of a guy fighting while wearing a santa outfit at an eagles game again.
