Soundtrack of our Lives in Baltimore

anyone besides this crazy guy going to show up? the lady at the Rams Head Live box office told me that "ticket sales are low, so tell your friends!"

:) another intimate show with the Swedes…
Sonick: I should have known; we share alot of fav groups. I'm gonna run down to Charlotteville for their show at Starr Hill on 6/28…their original plan was to co-headline a show with Robert Plant - and I believe there are a few venues where they are together - but no joint marketing/ads, etc. He is a big fan of TSOOL. Their label put the kabosh on that…a typicallly clueless maneuver by the suits…I believe it would have boosted both their ticket sales.

If anyone has a chance to see them at the Knitting Factory for the midnight show on 6/26, do so. It's their fav venue, some really devoted fans show up; its a tour tradition for them, and they always play a kick-ass show! I really like their new CD, Origin I.
Transcidental Suicide might be one of the best songs of the year

Of course they are low…..no publicity,Monday night in Baltimore…..not exactly a recipe for a sellout….it's a damn shame,though…..I'm going to try to make it up,since their last show at Fletchers that I attended was super fine!….Another private show for a few friends it looks like…..Hope they go on a tad later so I can crash a bit before the trip to Btown..

the woman at the box office told me they would be on around 9pm.
I'm going to try to make this one….if I leave the homestead about 7:30 I'll be there at 8:30 in time for the band…..I better not bring my camera or have my shirt untucked when I enter the club so I don't get booted out….according to the FAQ's…….
hahaha, i never noticed this, but you are right!

and they wonder why their ticket sales are low, i mean this IS Baltimore here people. and no, I am not tucking my shirt in, and i would like to see them try and make me!

What is the dress code?

The Power Plant Live dress code is: No excessively baggy clothing. No shorts below the knee. No work boots. No athletic wear (jerseys or sweats). No ripped or torn clothing. No bandanas or other headwear. All chains must be tucked in. Shirts must be tucked in.

Collar up, color of the season, hat to the side.
At least that's what I saw……..
What really makes me laugh is when I see dopey middle aged guys at the gym tucking their t-shirts into their shorts. Sometimes in the locker room you see them tucking their t-shirt into their tighty whiteys.

Sounds to me like someone is spending a bit too much time watching guys get dressed at the gym.

Have you considered a membership at Results?

This insinuates to me that there are gang problems in Charm City…is that the case?

well, there are gangs in Baltimore city and in certain areas, sure.

but i dont see the Power Plant live, where there are many yuppie bars (BAR Baltimore and Have A Nice Day cafe) having many gang issues.

plus, which show are these gangsters most likely to attend? Rick Springfield? Richard Marx? or perhaps, the Indigo Girls!!!!!!

yuppie bars? last time i was there (a few years ago), they were trashy, scantilly-clad-roaming-shot-girl type bars
I hear you, sonick, but nearly all the restrictions are gang-based….pocket chains, baggy pants, bandanas….

it's similar stuff to dress codes you see in DC clubs, although i can't say i've ever seen the "tuck in your shirt" rule

whatever you wanna call em. i dont set foot in em….but i doubt there's a lot of gangsters there!
power plant live makes no sense….a friend of mine was trying to get in a bar and he was wearing some jeans that were frayed at the ends….the bouncer wouldn't let him in…i looked at the bouncer and he was wearing jeans that were frayed at the ends as well…i pointed this out, and he kicked me out.

great place, that.
Sonick and anyone else, please let us know how the show was. I want to see them at Starr Hill too, but I have a conflict, unless you guys say it's really worth it.

what gangs are you referring to? I wore baggy pants and a chain most of my life, but was never in a gang. are you talking about the bloods and the crips? haha.
