Year End Disc: 2006

I do an annual year-end CD as a holiday favor for pals & (suitably hep) family members. Consisting mostly of songs from the previous year and a sprinkling from the year prior, mixed with clever/judicious segues from whenever. I'm getting around to starting on this year's effort and would love to hear any suggestions/segue ideas . Here's what I put together last year (sections —– are often broken up by v. short spoken word/movie dialogue snippets or weird shit)

those are three of my favorites from this year, that could make a decent little suite.

Thank you, Surly. I was well aware of the threads vansmack linked, but thought it might be fun to kick around segues of songs from this year with others, like the Mountain Goats/Marley combo above, or, using Booker's idea, adding Funeral for A Friend's "She Drove Me to Daytime Television" to his trio (not suggest FFOA are any good, but y'know…)

Sorry.

I guess in my case I did give my 120 minutes (or year end CD with segues) and didn't feel like repeating myself. Others likely did not.

I was protesting the year-end song and album list until we actually got to December…and now I just haven't gotten around to it yet. Coming soon…
