…..you are a desendent of vikings who settled in Saddleworth Moor, which is in greater Manchester in the Rochdale/Oldham area. (I was there just the other week actually)

Your name means, 'Heart in Field' and evidently comes from the fact that a stone carving that was, well, a heart, and placed in…you guessed it, a field.

Saddleworth Moor, by the way, is were Myra Hindley and John Brady buried their victims…..other than that it is a beautiful part of the country.

This information was on the telly yesterday, they are doing specials on the names of the presenters on some breakfast show.

My paternal grandad was originally from Yorkshire so it does fit in. However, when I had looked up the name before it said Skali hut (small timber abode) in a field.

I like your version better.
