Turn me on deadman…
Yes, it's a bad band name. But in case anyone's wondering how they got it:

"We needed a name before our first show," [band leader Alec] Ounsworth says. "We were coming back from our practice space and we passed a graffiti sign where somebody had written that. And we just took it, becuase we needed a name fast."

For the life of me I don't get this band AT ALL. I just listened to the record today and all I could do is reach for my copy of "Fear of Music" and put that on instead. Sorry, but the Talking Heads did this kind of music much better the first time around. I know I'm sounding like a curmudgeon, but I have to call it like I see it.
that's an awesome album, fear of music. black cat played it entirely during intermission last week. and eno comes thru alot on that one.
btw, anyone kno the story on "bill" at the black cat? man he's like an institution there. "black cat, black cat!" …he's been there since 97 when i started going there. i like bill.

I agree, Fear of Music is an excellent record. Possibly my fave Talking Heads LP. I like the last Brian Eno record, there's some good stuff on there. Talk about a musical genius.
Clap, clap, clap, and clap some more.
