I just saw something on Pitchfork about Juliana Hatfield's new album (really?) and decided to check out her site to see how she's looking. Sue me, I'm a superficial male.

Anyhow, I saw this odd posting:

"Someone purporting to be â??Juliana Hatfieldâ?? is disseminating disturbing email messages, postings, and e-cards throughout the Internet.
Please ignore any and all unsolicited anti-Semitic, racist/fascist, or sexually perverted email or e-cards sent by â??Juliana Hatfield.â?? It is not coming from me."

I once had Evan Dando pose for a picture with him holding a Juliana Hatfield cassette. He seemed pretty wasted, but agreed to do it.

I later snapped a picture of Juliana Hatfield holding the picture of Evan holding the Juliana cassette. She seemed pretty wasted, but agreed to do it.

I also have a picture of Nick Cave at a book signing in London for And the Ass Saw the Angel. I know that really has nothing to do with Juliana, but I figger the hipsters will think it's cool.

I'm not really a fan, at least not of the pics I just saw.

I remember having a crush on her in early high school. Now, she's way too skeletal for my liking.

yeah, I think she's pretty scary looking. I think we're the same age (granted, I'm not using myself as a barometer!). Liz Phair as a barometer, though, shows a 40-year old aging damn well.

I think the difference is Liz Phair married some wealthy lawyer, whereas Juliana Hatfield dated Even Dando.
