Are "General Admission floor" tickets right in front of the stage at merriweather?
The Shins... behind white stripes?? why?

look at the bright side: go see them opening for the white stripes, and then if you're not interested in the headliners, you get to leave and beat the traffic rush.

When exactly was the last time the Shins played Black Cat? I'm disapointed I missed it.
[or Feb 8 & 10 – don't remember if I went to the first or second show at Black Cat]
i forgot they opened for modest mouse a while back…wasn't that in early 2002? i was at one of those black cat shows when isaac brock was shitfaced drunk.

There are still VERY good seats for this available right now. Including front of the LOGE & PIT.
A friend and I just got ours in the Pit. Huzzah!
Wow - Over an hour into the sale and there are still GA/Floor tickets left. Over-estimating their draw maybe?
I wonder if they've expanded the PIT area somehow?
This does seem really strange.
Pity all the poor folks who fell for Ticketwankers dirty tricks: selling lawn tickets during the presale to create the illusion of demand to move some crap seats.

I saw the Shins at the Norva in April; amazing set. James Mercer could go solo.

honestly, who gives a fuck? Both bands are good. Why do people care so much what pecking order bands play in? It's like bureaucrats worrying about who has the slighly bigger desk.
Originally posted by joz:i definately remember them opening for modest mouse in baltimore in like 2001. . .actually, the shins were the first band, then black heart procession, then modest mouse. a year or so after that, they opened for the red house painters at black cat.
