Looks like I might have to make a few trips to Central Park this summer:
Dinosaur Jr. / Broken Social Scene
Thursday, July 14 - 4:30pm doors
Tickets: $37.25 advance / $40 day of concert
Death Cab for Cutie / The Decemberists / Stars
Thursday, August 18th - 5:30 doors
Tickets: $30 advance / $35 day of concert

I hear good things about the Chinatown bus. $35 r/t. Not sure of the web site though.

my favorite is the Dragon Coach, since it drops off in Herald Sq which is far more convenient than NY's chinatown.

chinatown buses are more likely to let you take a bike on if there's space. greyhound is jerks about it.

Buddha, are you necessarily looking for the cheapest transport? You can often find flights that are less than the train – anywhere from $90-150. If you fly in to Newark, there's an easy train in to Penn Station and take a cab or hop on the subway there. If you fly in to LaGuardia, I think you have to take a taxi, which can be pricey depending on where you're going…

Yeah, cheapest would be ideal. I know Dino Jr. is playing here a few days before, so I might not need to make the trip. Does anyone know if Broken Social Scene is opening the 9:30 show?

Whenever I go to NYC, I drive to Hamilton, NJ & take NJ Transit train in to the city. It's like $16 roundtrip, plus the tolls & gas money. I have found it to be the best & cheapest way in & out of Manhattan. I absolutely hate taking the bus, amtrak is a rip-off and airports are a hassle.
