Marah is doing two shows at IOTA, the 2nd of which is tonight, and I had no fucking clue either of these were happening until I read it in the paper today on the train. Could have gone last night, but not tonight.

Down eh? Very rarely down, usually some sort of dns issue that never, ever seems to get resolved.

Intersting. Could be a DNS issue, because I tried to check out the site after I got your email (wed) and was unable to. Tried again on Thursday morning (PT), again not able. That's why I was so delayed in getting back to you. Once again over the weekend with no luck. Let me check again tonight when I get home - could be an AT&T/SBC thing.

It is working today however (from my office, not AT&T/SBC).

I saw them open for Steve Earle a number of years ago, and to be honest, I'm not sure what all the fuss is about. They seemed like a rather corny Springsteen wannabe band. Why not just go see Bruce in the USA at the State Theater?

Kids in Philly is one of my fave acqusitions of the last year (even though it came out a few years ago). Having spent a some years in Philly I've developed a major soft spot for that record. I've got the newest one and while it's decent, not quite as good but growing on me.

I really don't get all these Springsteen comparisons…I mean do they really sound like the Boss at all? I guess since it's got a working class northeastern thing going on with a touch of americana that's the best thing people can come up with. I don't really get it though.

Thanks for the predictably poor suggestion though.
