Wanna write CD reviews?

I feel like I might regret this, seeing my general bad luck with board members becoming writers, but Big Yawn is looking for a few good critics to write CD reviews, show reviews, interviews, and various other cool things. You need 3 things to qualify:
1- A good knowledge base. Or at least a basic base with the ability to do research. You do not have to know where Brendan Benson lives, but you can't just put any old thing down and assume you're right either.
2-The ability to work serious thoughts into formulated paragraphs.
3- Most importantly, the desire to follow-through and complete the assigned pieces on deadline. If you cannot do this (and please look deep inside the far reaches of yourself), it's not worth us talking. This has historically been the hardest part of working with writers.
If you are curious and feel good about the above three requirements, feel free to e-mail me at info@bigyawn.net.

How come you guys never printed the Graham Coxon review I wrote many months ago? Was it really that bad?

I thought the show was pretty good. It sounded great, but Graham seemed so unhappy and uncomfortable on stage that it was kind of a letdown. I also would've liked him to at least acknowledge the guys playing with him, which he did not do in the slightest.
But I do agree that the album is great. I bought it, thinking it would be something to play a few times and then let disappear. But the songs are good and I've always loved his guitar sound.
