Gotta love the Onion...

If you like that, you will love the Shut UP! thread.
That reminds me of that little older guy with the moustache that shows up at a lot of the more Brit-poppy shows…he totally goes nuts. I saw him crowd-surf at a Jesus and Mary Chain show and his ass got dropped SO fast.

Funny, for a moment I thought he was talking about me.

Yeah, more like you really. "Little older" is you, I would be "Old bastard" or "Gay old bastard" if paige was telling the story.

I know, what's with that? Did you spurn her advances for head in return for a good deal on a car?

It may well be a case of 'the more she ignores me the closer I get' if you know what I mean.
;)

would never turn down sexual favors (from a girl) for a deal on a car, it's the company's money remember!
Does anyone know who I'm talking about? I've seen him at Blur, JAMC, Pulp, and a bunch of others…I haven't seen him in a while, but he's a hoot to watch (from a distance).

Damn I wish I had thought of that…… I deffo want to become a car salesperson now.

Did you read Man and Boy yet?

this past blur show last year, or an earlier one. I dont think I have ever seen him, but we have only been here just under 5 years.
I think that was the one at the Capitol Ballroom (aka Nation). I think I saw him at a show last year though and now I can't remember which one.
There was a guy at the Fall show this past summer who was quite enthused. Almost Richard Simmons in his attire/attitude/cheering. He was woo-ing through entire songs. First it was funny, but by the end you wanted to toss him out a window.

Kula Shaker about 7-8 years ago. He was dancing around "Woodstock"-style with the flailing arms and all. Then he started standing on his head. Had to be on acid or something.

Just started it last night actually…waited till I finished the Shane MacGowan book, and then kept forgetting to get it out of my car because I was driving (dare I say it) an SUV during the bit of snow and ice we had.

BTW….MB ML series SUV…a fine example of crappie designing, you can tell it was after Chrysler got involved.

Good, I hope you like it. I have the sequel too.

As for MB, SUV. People must really want a three pointed star on the driveway to get one of them. They always get terrible reviews. Wouldnt you have been better off in the toyoter…?

Yea, you would have to be pretty fucked up to go to a Kula Shaker show. :p
Yep Eros, that's the dude. He does that funny little arms flailing dance. He's one of those people you can't help but notice.

Well, I figured if some idiot was going to hit me during the bad conditions it may as well be a company car. Not being a big fan of SUV's in the first place I didn't care what I drove home, so let the other two decide and I took the leftover…..I might have to have an opinion next time because the other choices were Range Rover HSE and Landrover Disco.

Observations on the ML430

Heated seats burn your arse…way too hot even on the lower setting!

Don't use the cup holder because you knock your cup out of it with your knee everytime you get into the bloody car, thanks to the placement of it.

Rear wiper switch is in a totally different location of the car than the rear defrost switch! Why? Ask the stinking Germans.

You can't send heat to the windshield and your feet at the same time, it's one or the other. Not good when your feet are freezing from being in the snow and the windshield is icing up from snow/freezing rain.

Volume button for the radio is extremely convenient…FOR THE FRONT PASSENGER!

Minor things admittedly…in a 67 MG. This tin can is supposed to be a luxury automobile for crying out loud.

Must've been designed in Detroit because I can't believe the German engineers would've done it.
Well the range rovers have a much higher chance of breaking down. Perhaps you got the right vehicle afterall.

As for the 430, is it the newer revised model with 1000 changes, none of which made any difference? I think the car was designed by the Germans, but it was back before the BMW x5 and there was very little competition back then.
