yeah vans, i saw all that, but was wondering when they were going on sale and if it was an official date, since it's on Pollstar, but not this site or The Darkness's own.

Okay, so they are still coming to town…but it is weird that they haven't posted it on their site or on the 9:30 website. Any news on why 9:30 is delaying the announcement?
the club announces shows on the website on thursday… nothing is official until tickets go on sale, regardless of what pollstar, etc says…
they will go on sale when the date is rescheduled in a couple months….thats why it was taken OFF their website.

really… well as of right now tickets are not scheduled to go on sale tomorrow. this from just announced list on the frontpage, the weekly club email and it's not listed on tickets.com
fyi - the dc101 website has darkness tickets going on sale on 2/26. maybe someone from the club can confirm this info…

what would you guess the demographics would be like at a Darkness show? High school, college, other? A mix of all of the above?
i think the age range is going to extend past college kids, all the way to people in their 40s. this band is being noticed by people who remember glam, hair metal, etc, and want to relive those days.
did the darkness put out a limited edition us version with a dvd at one point, or i'm thinking of the datsuns…
i'm still not sure i'm going to like the cd based on the singles one can stream from the bands website. the songwriting seems pretty amateur. would be a great show to dj at. "Welcome to Jungle" sequed way into "20 first centrury Boy" ;)

Has anyone heard any recent news on what is going on with the Darkness?? I waited about 2 weeks now and nothing has been mentioned about any scheduled show. I know it is not official until it is posted on the 930 club website. Any updates?
