This bboard is not solely for music.

People read it because it's a Washingtron bboard. They don't care very much that it's about music. It's because it's the center of existence that matters for outsiders.

When you see links to the bboard they usually say, "A bulletin bboard with the straight dope from the dissident seat of power.", not "For music oriented Washington scenesters."..although that does apply to a lesser extent, I suppose.

Two people showed up here at the office for an interview. The girl is ONE hour early (her interview is at 2), so she gets to meet the guy that is having an interview at 1..crazy..

Awkward.

They'll both wish each other good luck while muttering "God I hope you fuck up" under their breath.

I'd say the person who showed up an hour early already screwed up.

why would she show up THAT early? aren't interviews painful enough as it is, without having to sit in a sterile waiting room for a full hour?!? 15 minutes is plenty early, any more than that and you should wait downstairs, at the AU Bon Pain across the street, whatever…

i hate interviews. i do fine at them, have had plenty of practice, but yuck.

if you worked where i worked, the "waiting room" is anything but sterile, artwork and fancy lighting galore! even a history of the company written on the wall.

I'm thinking she got a ride from someone.

Then she should've gotten coffee somewhere. I can't stand it when people show up that early for an appointment.

I was just watching some hair gel commercial. Have you ever noticed when Penelope Cruz speaks she sounds exactly like Ren Høek?

I don't usually notice Penelope Cruz's voice.

I talked to my boss and he said that the guy was supposed to have the interview at 4 pm (not 1 pm)so he was 3 hours early…so they both screwed up!
