John Roberts of CNN drops the 930 Club Name

Is he a patron? They had a story (630 this morning) about the Washington Governor (she is 61) getting carded at a bar and kicked out. He mentioned some places, such as the 930 Club in Washington DC (his words) do blanket carding to drink. (Could be slightly wrong other than he said 930 Club of DC)

Pretty good bet that he does frequent the club.
'JD' has been all over the internets of late for his former career as a Canadian VJ.
Betcha he gave Glass Tiger a mean interview back in the day.

JD hosted a half hour show on CITY (a Toronto independent station) called Toronto Rocks back in the mid 80s. He also hosted the Pepsi Power Hour on Muchmusic (the Canadian version of MTV), which concentrated mostly on metal videos. It's a kick to see him all 'serious' on CNN.

I worked at CBS News when he worked there. One of the only on air personalities that wasnt a complete dick…julie chen was really nice too. The others..not so much.

Speaking of Julie Chen… Big Brother kicks ass.

when i once ran into former senator phil gramm and his lovely wife Wendy at a 930 show (aden was opening for luna), her hands had the big x mark on them because she didn't have her i.d.

that's odd, because we don't use big x marks to indicate that someone is underage. we have stamps for that. x marks mean that you've been asked to leave, and you shouldn't see any that we put on people inside the club.
