The Stooges Roll Call

This is the case for my boyfriend as well, but unfortunately, not for me. Who gives good friday off? He works for a labor union. I guess a lot of them must be catholic.

That's not a bad idea, although I was considering leaving my house around 11 that night. Of course, if you plan something, that might change my mind!
for anyone looking to pre-party a little: i'll be at DC9 around 10 pm, probably stay there until 11:15-11:20 (i'd like to get to the 930 in time to get a semi-decent spot). to one and all: if you have the time and inclination, do drop by and say hi. i'll be wearing a yellow t-shirt.

reminder: bring ear-plugs. the stooges are notoriously loud. your eardrums will thank you.
can't wait
omg i'm gonna be a mess friday. i thought the show started at 8pm. it's gonna be a pain trying to get a cab after the show. i may have to drive.

this will be my first time seeing them live
I was going to propose a pre-party also. I guess it's been decided that DC9 is the place?
I'll be there. May dip out a bit early though depending on how long the set runs.
That's the plan.
what's a good excuse if I want to call in sick Friday? :)
I'm going to sit at home and listen to my Mason Jennings records in protest of his being dropped as opener.
I bought tickets, then sold em and then used the money to buy tickets for Silversun Pickups and Tragically Hip.

late shows in DC…should've known i was going to decide against it sooner or later!
Religion: Good Friday. You have to be quiet and sit in church between 12-3.

Oh nice! I haven't been to church in a while :)
Leaving for Boston today to see the show there. Too young (somehow) to have seen the Stooges. Iggy Pop is one of the best shows I've ever seen.

npr is broadcasting this tonight just in case anyone missed out on tickets. i hope they have the show for download afterwards.
The Stooges on NPR? That is funny. That's one show that seems like it would be useless to listen to online. You need to be there, or it's pointless.

Uh oh, they called Steve Albini a "producer." Beware the wrath of The Mighti Albini
I'm there…I just don't know when………..

well, "decided" might not be the right term since as far as i can tell, i threw the idea out there an no one objected. yes, a technicality, i realize :)

that said, i'll be at the DC9 at 10:00, look for a yellow t-shirt. do come over and say hi, i don't bite (well, usually, exception made for the asses of alt-country loving married men along second-level balconies…)
Holy hell. Iggy is the man.
Wow.
