Two of his top 10 picks are in my top 5 for 2006 – Dixie Chicks and Joseph Arthur. Though it would be nice to see Twilight Singers' "Powder Burns" on more end of year lists.

Got that at Tower for 25 cents, and don't like it at all. Even with Joseph Arthur guesting on it. Sorry.

The Wire had Scritti Politi "White Bread Black Beer" at #11 while Freedom honorably mentions it. That's the extent of their common ground.

I have the Wolf Eyes in my piles of Tower purchases and the Newsom on loan from the library.
