"For Blender, what makes a song a great song doesn't have a lot to do with the level of musicianship," the magazine's editor-in-chief Craig Marx told the New York Post.
The magazine then offers proof:
Greatest Songs Released Since 1980
1. Billie Jean - Michael Jackson
2. B.O.B. - OutKast
3. Sweet Child o' Mine - Guns N' Roses
4. One - U2
5. Smells Like Teen Spirt - Nirvana
6. Like A Prayer - Madonna
7. Love Will Tear Us Apart - Joy Division
8. Sucker MCs - Run DMC
9. …Baby One More Time - Britney Spears
10. In Da Club - 50 Cent

Jeez…no "Kokomo"? No "Don't Worry Be Happy?" Not even "I'm Too Sexy"? There's just no justice in this world.

Not to be a stickler because I love the song, but Whip It actually debuted in 1979 rendering it just over 25 years old.
I don't believe it was released until 1980, though, so lets put it in!

I would mock this list, but I'm afraid Blender's feelings might get hurt, which in turn, would cause them to stop printing their journal, which would mean less feature articles about bands, which would mean less hype for shows of said bands, which would lead to lower ticket sales… thereby hurting the 9:30 club's bottom line. Oh nos!

That song sucks worse than Mike Scioscia.
Joy Division is one of those lame-o bands that so many of you sheep who were barely born when they were arounf have been told you're supposed to like, so you do.
New Order was ten times the band Joy Division ever was. Thanks be to God that Ian killed himself and allowed the world to have New Order.

I think it's time you stop recycling old quips that weren't funny the first time.
