I went to the Joe Jackson/Todd Rundgren show at the Warner last night – each of them mentioned the Washington Nationals (Jackson with a bit of a snicker…). But the baseball talk also involved the only heckle/fan shout out of the night I enjoyed. Rundgren says, "So you have baseball in DC now…" and a guy in the balcony yells (but it sounded like he was just saying it, not yelling – great intonation for this) "Anything but the Yankees."

and remember, they play almost 200 games!!! they are like 1/10 of the way into the season….

yeah they will end up sucking, but i gotta say…it was awesome that they swept the yankees…haaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaahahahhahahahahahahahaha

nay sayers! i nearly pooped in my drawers when i read the paper this morning. i think this'll be a solid season. Granted, there are like 900 games left, but what the hell. as long as that aruban guy stays in the dug out eating hot dogs i think we'll be just fine.

on one hand they don't have the pitching, but the yanks have questionable heart, the sox pitching is hurting, and there isn't an easy out in the o's line-up and tejada might be the best player in baseball. dunno, we'll see

Holy shit!!! :eek: and I've only been gone a few months. Must be all this GAA crap and no hockey season that has fogged my memory of the mighty Canadians. (Brennser will explain GAA to any of those in the dark/interested)

There are 162 games in a season. The orioles will still be very much in the thick of it.
