The Show of the Year has been announced!!!!!!
i most certainly thought this was about Brendan Benson with The White Stripes
When they opened for Prodigy in 1998, THAT was one hell of a show.
I am so there!
I saw them at the Black Cat way way back and the friggin' place was 1/2 empty. I don't know why.

yeah if you think about what haggis is made out of, its not very appetizing, however its really not that bad. it tastes like a spicey meatloaf. the spices are the key, heh.
i think the craziest food item i saw while in scotland was deep fried pizza…hello instant heart attack.

Black pudding is just as bad….basically it's a blood clot!
White pudding!!! Just what the 'eff is that?
Oh, lest we forget tripe and elder!
And you wonder why I don't eat meat of any kind.

I still remember the meal where I had green beans and carrots. The only differentiating feature was the colour. They had the same taste (salt), texture (mush), and size (pinkie). Close your eyes and you could not say which you were eating.
uhhh
so the new album
is fucking horrible.
has made me think twice about going to the show. the new album sounds like electro-lounge-dub with flutes and clarinets thrown in very now and then..and some long samples. no vocals at all…very chill….not a MBM album at all. extremely disappointed.

I honestly didnt dig the 'in dub' record either. So I guess no chance of hearing GOD OD on wed……

The new album shouldn't have been that big of a surprise, as it is kind of where he's been heading…just listen to 'RUOK?'. Also, the latest album was part of Thirsty Ear's Blue Series (from the TE website: "The concept of the Blue Series was born from Thirsty Ear's desire to marry jazz's many languages into a cogent new one and perhaps shake up what was, and to a certain extent still is, a stagnant musical climate.") That being said, I'm certainly hoping to hear 99% and older stuff, too. I read that since it has been so long since MBM has toured, that this tour may be somewhat of a 'greatest hits' show..so hopefully we'll be hearing lots of old stuff. The Black Cat show was *excellent* (swore I'd never miss 'em when they came back around) and I have high hopes for this one as well.

i suppose it would be too much to ask for some stuff from Armed Audio Warfare….hmmmmm.
now that i think of it, i REFUSE to believe they will be disappointing. they just cant be, they just wont be.
I am picking them over Ted Leo/Pharmacists. and thats final.

Well, after kiling way too much time on the tour board, I am completely psyched for the show. Very happy to read that they are playing for about 2.5 hours. Going to make for an incredible, but late night…
