complete rip-off

"Pictures of Matchstick Men" by The Status Quo
– disc 3, track 21 of "Nuggets, Vol. 2: Original Artyfacts From the British Empire & Beyond", released 1968

"Equus" by Blonde Redhead on "Misery Is a Butterfly"

the lead vocal on the chorus of "Equus" ("Allow me to show you, the way which I adore you") is the EXACT same melody as the lead guitar (and lead vocal, towards the end of the track) in "Pictures of Matchstick Men"

I don't know much about IP law, or royalties and the like, but if David Bowie got cash from Vanilla Ice, Status Quo should sue the hell out of Blonde Redhead
tattle teller
even worse, Camper Van Beethoven copied the entire song, words and music, even the same name!!!!!!!
Dang! So did the Slickee Boys!
