Why the next generation of gaming consoles in gonna suck
great article, thanks
They suck already. I preferred my Intellivision when I was 5. Nothing beats Pitfall.
Or Kaboom.
will agree it was a great read… would like to see more of the detective type games
nope
Last week I installed a NES emulator on my pc and got an archive of every nintendo game made for it. Right now i'm working through Punch Out.
I want a game that is nothing BUT crates & jumping puzzles.
BTW, I'm feeling hungry and a bit sick. I think I'll take my crowbar and go into the kitchen to see if there's a crate to smash.

i've been playing Zelda Ocarina of time of late and am amazed at the graphics despite the fact the title was orginial written for Nintendo 64 and released in 1983. new gee whiz graphics would be great but content is what draws me in,

Zork! My cousin used to play that all the time. I was too young to figure it out.

Originally posted by econo:I have a working Intellivision and bought a ton of games on ebay. Still love it. I picked up an Intellivision game pack disc for my X-Box with 60+ games, but it's not the same without the keypad and disc controller.

This emulator has pitfall.
My Dad's the type of guy that keeps all the electronics he's ever bought, so the Intellivision with a collection of games is down in the basement in my folk's basement just waiting to be used.
Originally posted by econo:That's exactly how mine survived, and he let me take it with me when I moved to SF. DC was way too far for him to let the Intellivision go…

You should definitely keep an eye on ebay - I bought a collection of 15 games for $40.
There's an IBM PC Jr. somewhere down in the basement. I may even still have Lode Runner for it.
