Kaiser Chiefs Roll Call

Ill be there and I'm beyond excited to see another show at the 9:30. Last show was over a yaer ago - The English Beat - around St. Patty's Day. Lots of drunkenness, dancing our asses off.

Hmmm Kaiser Chiefs could be just the same thing :)

And I could be there in June for BRMC. I love these Saturday night shows. Gives me an extra reason to make a return trip to DC :)
I'd go for the Walkmen, then leave before Kaiser Chiefs ;)
I'll be there. Kaiser Chiefs were fun last time I saw them there. This will be my third show this week though so hopefully my hearing will return from last night in time for the Walkmen.

I didnt even realize the walkmen were opening. now im more thrilled. but im not a fan of the annuals. last time i saw them, it nearly put me to sleep.
Does anyone know the schedule for the late show? What time do the Walkmen and Kaiser Chiefs come on?

I'm there! I'm guessing KC comes on around 11:45/midnight. And I'll be there for BRMC too (and lots in between).

Even with a 10pm door opening? Thanks.

im thinking 12:30 based on tonight's showtimes. And with 10pm doors first band wont be on till at least 10:30. Probably next band around 11:15. Just my guessing on prior set times.
Could ask over at the questions section, there should be someone to answer there. I will be there…
I'll be there. I was at their last preformance at the 9:30 club and it was amazing. It was the first show I had ever been to at 9:30 club. It's special to me. One more day!

The Annuals put me to sleep also. ;)
Just won tix to this show! :)
just ordered their new CD :)
I'm still not sure whether tomorrow night is "available" for me to drive down or not. And even if it turns out it is, while I wouldn't mind catching this show, I also wouldn't mind seeing Benjy Ferree at the Black Cat. Decisions, decisions…
My short summary:

Annuals - Didn't like them. All over the place in sound. When you there are two drum sets on stage, I expect something special. This wasn't.

The Walkmen - I felt like they phoned it in. No personality whatsoever. Surprising since last time I saw them it was a passionate show.

Kaiser Chiefs - Fantastic! Great energy, showmanship. Engaged the crowd and completely delivered on the sound.
does anyone have the dj setlist?

just to add on.. for me the annuals have gotten worse. now i really thought that wasnt possible for a band to piss me off that much, but im pretty sure its like 2 different bands that come together on stage. 2 keyboard players, 2 drums, 2 guitars. and their music is all over the place - pick a style and keep to it.

the walkmen - musically i think they are a pretty tight band, but as kurosawa said no personality whatsoever. a true waste. i just checked pics and my god it really was that boring.

kaiser chiefs - awesome, awesome set! so full of energy! and they were sounding awesome! and ricky is very engaging with the crowd.

now im tempted to see them in nyc, but i think the klaxons tomorrow night should do as great a job if not better! yay!
combination of cold weather + late starting times + being drunk prevented me from getting to this show!

Just as an FYI - that was kurosawa who wrote that comment - not me :)
I received their CD in the mail today… good stuff! Wish I'd been at the show. :(
