From the man who brought you the "Animal Collective

…comes
this. This guy's reviews have to be jokes. They just have to.
There's no other explanation.
FYI, I couldn't make it two minutes into this album.

God, I hate that guy, as much as I could hate someone I know nothing about. But he just oozes pseudo-intellectual smarminess. I would bet $100 that he is an insufferable, superior-minded, arrogant-for-no-reason blowhard who is secretly hated by his two friends.

I so want to believe that he's just a funny guy satirizing the many music writers who use that pseudo-intellectual tone similarly to what David Cross did
here. . But then again, if that was the case, he'd change his style slightly from review to review but he doesn't.

He's at it again! I do kind of agree with this one although it still reeks of pretentious prickishness.
And for those of you who missed it the first time:
the only music review that's ever angered me.

You haven't read the Flight of the Conchords one, have you?
And no the Of Montreal one wasn't as bad but it's in that same formulaic style that he seems to write everything in.
Damn shame that this guy writes for an otherwise great publication.

Man...he sucks so much! And he's been writing more and more for them.
Ugh…
Check out how much of that review is actually dedicated to talking about the music.

"[D]ialectically engage the avant-garde"?? It'd be annoying even in a graduate school paper, let alone a supposed music review.

I doubt any of us finished it.
I didn't even get close.
The David Cross piece is brilliant. I go back to it once in a while and it never gets old.
