Also one of my favorite films.
God Bless You, Mr. Rosewater
I am, incidentally, Honorary President of the American Humanist Association,
having succeeded the late, great science fiction writer Isaac Asimov in that
totally functionless capacity. We had a memorial service for Isaac a few years
back, and I spoke and said at one point, 'Isaac is up in heaven now.' It was
the funniest thing I could have said to an audience of humanists. I rolled them
in the aisles. It was several minutes before order could be restored. And if I
should ever die, God forbid, I hope you will say, 'Kurt is up in heaven now.'
Thatâ??s my favorite joke.

Vonnegut's best story was The Big Space Fuck .
"most of the worlds ills can be traced to the fact that Man's knowledge of himself has not kept pace with his knowledge of the physical world" -Vonnegut
I just found out a few minutes ago and I'm really bummed. What a great, great author. Man…
Anyone see The Daily Show last night? Jon ended by saying that the world was now less interesting, and played a clip from when Kurt was on the show as the moment of zen.
At least Ray Bradbury is still alive.
