More Nextel Cup races are held in Virginia (4) than any other state, including Maryland (0).
Then Maryland wins….end of story…
So this thread is just a confirmation of the dislike NOVA has for MD and vice versa.
Then what are you doing living in the state with the second most points races (3)? :D

Two Bristols, who would have figured it..?
Yeah, I forgot about Rockville Pike. That place is like North NoVa.

You've never been to my neighborhood, I guess.

It actually sounds like Rockville that you are describing.

All I know is that I enjoy that there is less sprawl in Maryland than there is in Nova. All of Nova just seems like one big unplanned clusterfuck of highways, parking lots and mini-malls, that never seems to end.

But that's just my impression, having never lived there.
how many good venues are there: dc vs. md vs. va?

i wonder if this is similar to the northern californians who refuse to go down to LA or even consider moving there. In college (santa barbara) it seemed like northern californians (me included) had a lot of animosity to the southern californians (till i dated one). and given that LA was closer than SF i attended lots of concerts there.

i swear its like 2 different states tho. and for the record id NEVER live in LA :)
like pavement once sang about california- the south takes what the north delivers.

although, i would consider moving to san diego.
and id consider moving to Santa Barbara or San Diego. Im not sure SB is considered SoCal, tho?

The strange is though I've not seen one NASCAR t-shirt, baseball cap bumper stickers or anything down here. All of the redneckie type bars (for fear of stererotyping, but I suppose it's okay to stereotype with rednecks being white ;) ) are all NY Wankees themed. Seriously.
