My interest in football is so minimal that I booked a weekend trip to NYC on Super Bowl Weekend, not even realizing it was Super Bowl Weekend. We'll most likely be riding a bus back to DC when the Super Bowl is being played.

Don't feel bad. My birthday is always on or near Super Bowl weekend….and I HATE football. Would be great if I liked the game but in my case, it only helps to ruin any potential plans every year.

jag - me too: feb 2. one year, when i was living in boston, my bday was the day after the pats won the super bowl. a couple of buddies made the effort to take me out for a beer, but we were all so exhausted from our super bowl parties that we all turned in after that one bday beer.
