So what have we learned today regarding Indie verses Mainstream types.

Both The Autoslave and Backstreet Boys presale goes off without one single person showing up on the board to complain about how quickly the tickets went. Yet when Interpol, Wilco, etc presales also go as quickly the board is instantly flooded with "Worst Presale Ever", "Why did I end up in the Waiting room" Bitch, Moan, Rinse, Later, Repeat, etc, etc, etc..

Also notice not one person asked for the password…

my knee-jerk reaction would be that:

a) people who are into "non-mainstream" bands are more likely to use "non-mainstream" modes of communication, like the 930 forum instead of calling into DC101 and bitching

b) fans of mainstream bands like audioslave / bsb aren't as rabid about the band as fans of "cult" bands like wilco … don't they call them cult bands for a reason?
– but if this was 1999 and BSB were playing 930 club, i'm sure this board would have been flooded.

Is Interpol another band moving to the area? They have 4 dates here within the next month and a half.
(Wonder which newbie will take this rumour and run with it?)

When they played here several months ago, Paul did say "We love the 9:30 Club!", and he had a big smile on his face when he said it. Of course, too many people were too busy complaining about everything else to notice that.
