Wilco...I'm devastated

I thought it would be a hot ticket, but man, this is insane. Shit is going for 100 bucjs per ticket on craigslist.
I'm sure I could get a ticket, but just don't know if it will be worth it…I'm sure they'll come around again.
It is nice to see such a buzz over such a great band, however.

Wait. In the week before the show, tickets will start popping up on Craigslist. And in the day or two before the show, tickets will likely go for face value as people bail on friends who bought a whole bunch of tickets.
It's happening now for Massive Attack. Happened for Snow Patrol. Happened for The Pixies (my friend actually never sold a ticket, because the Craigslist bitch never showed up and no one was buying on the street that close to showtime).
If you're not crazy dying to go to a particular show, be patient and start checking out Craigslist or this site about a week out. I wish I had the patience to do that more. I'm the one who covers all my bases and sometimes gets left with tickets even to very hot shows (that were going for $200, 300 on Craigslist soon after the sell out, but for face in the days before the show as a bunch of tickets became available and regular folks start to panic).

I just dont think a lot of tickets are going to become available last minute for this show. I've been wrong before, though.

I agree with Bags and have witnessed the exact same phenonemon with hot-ticket indiesque bands. I saw this happen for the Yeahyeahyeahs, Franz/Death cab and others. Don't drop $100 now - there are a bunch of scalpers and individuals holding tickets that have no interest in seeing the show or getting stuck with the "investment" they made.

Definitely agree with the folks who suggest waiting the scalpers out. I, too, had no luck getting tickets that day, but was shocked at the number of people with tickets for sale on CL by noon. I'm hoping that once the show gets closer, a few more tickets may be released…either that or I'll be out front looking for a single (or 6) the night of the show. I'd love to see the show, but there's no way I'd ever pay more than face for this or any other event.
