if memory serves me, their last show at the 930 was $25. the strathmore show is, as far as i could see, the most expensive ticket on sale there. question is: is the high price because of the venue, or because they're fleecing the affluent residents of montgomery county? ;) GO MARKETING DEPT!!!

How much were the tickets to their Black Cat backstage show? I bet they were better back then.
I'm pretty sure it's expensive to rent the venue…
How much were the tickets to their Black Cat backstage show? I bet they were better back then.of course they were. they had less experience performing, had a smaller repertoire, less stage presence and fewer fans. but they were much more "indie".
there is something to be said for less stage presence, I'll take the backstage show over any show that followed it, those songs were better than the ones they play today anyway, nothing to do with more indie
That's insane considering the Norva show a few nights later is only $20. Two tickets and a tank and a half of gas to get down there and back would be less than Strathmore tickets, and its in a nice club.
Where are the tickets on sale? Strathmore doesn't list it yet and Ticketmaster isn't selling right now.
The backstage show was great. They all had some nasty virus; Chris Funk had a broken leg and had to play the show seated; there wasn't enough room for the band on the stage; they didn't have cute matching outfits; and they played their music without descending into cutesey banter about musical theatre. The only downside of the show was the obnoxious Scottish guy yelling about his camel.
