oh man i want to go to that show so much - more so than the show upcoming at the black cat because it's free and outside! - but i have to pick up a friend at the airport who is coming home from vietnam.. so there is no way i can make the show. :( :(

I'm going and I've never been to Fort Reno before. Could anyone tell me what it's like? Is it more picnic style (do I need to bring a blanket? food?), or will everyone be standing near the stage like at a club show? Thanks!

It's an open, grassy field with a stage about 6' off the ground. There's a Whole Foods across the street. I'd definitely recommend bringing a blanket or a jacket to sit on. Some folks do stand near the stage, but most are sitting and chatting with friends, etc.

Fort Reno shows have been described as "like Grog & Tankard, but with mosquitos"

ummm… and did someone mention alcohol free?

yeah. no drugs, no booze, no glass bottles. that's really important since it would suck to be the person to make the shows lose their permit.

not sure - have a feeling it may be solo - I don't think I saw this date among the others at the Rx website

I am downgrading myself to a maybe, mostly cause I really need to find a new job, and this is a perfect night to bust my ass for 5 hours doing just that.

Anyone know when these shows are over? Is it before 9?

The website says the shows are over by 9:30.
