what was your setlist last night christine?
massive attack set list??
They came on at 9:45 and finished at 11:15 pm.
Liz Frazer was not very good. But the Horace Andy songs were great, esp. Angel. The 3 song encore was the best………

for those of you that went both nights, please tell me that tonight was a major improvement! after your commentary, i went tonight with low expectations and left very very happy.
i thought the show was very good, but they needed to up the female vocals-singing at the higher pitch just dissipated-particularly during unfinished symphony.
whomever said earlier they are better suited for a larger venue/crowd was right-massive attack would make a kick ass closer at coachella.

it was the same exact set list tonight, as i compare mine to yours. our show went about an hour and 45 minutes though.

agree. the show was great. lost momentum about midway through but picked up. i think daddy g would have been an asset to mix things up a bit. but it was sweet. deep . . .
I enjoyed both shows VERY Much. well worth the money.
Thank you 930 8-)

Loved the show…it wasn't brilliant, but it was one of those nice experiences where the sound, lighting and performance made it well worth my dollar(s). Crappy week at work, and to end it with this show really salvaged it. I have to say that "Teardrop" was utter perfection. Seeing Liz Frazier again reminded me how much I miss the Cocteau Twins. I'm very glad that it was such a good evening, the band seemed to really enjoy the reaction from the audience when they were leaving the stage too.
"teardrop" was the one song that somewhat disappointed me. Like others have said, Liz's voice was definitely lacking something and her performance of that song live just wasn't nearly as powerful as it is on the album version. Rest of the show was great.

Great set.
Great show too. I wasn't really looking forward to it, based on some of the tepid reviews and my memories that MA are actually kind of a mellow band (on record). But the sound was great and I really enjoyed it.
What a great night.
I thought the show sounded great (from a few feet in front of the mixing desk).
The songs translated well live, and Horace Andy seemed like the coolest guy in the world.
And…
blah.
it was good.

Excellent show, but I wasn't blown away by it either. My expectations may have been a bit too high.
The audience seemed rather lethargic. I would have expected Massive Attack fans to be more into moving with the music, but most people were just standing there even during the faster songs. There's more dancing at Stellastarr* shows.
I also agree that Horace Andy is the coolest. I enjoyed his songs the most last night, and I was desperately hoping he was going to perform during the encore, but he didn't.
I thought the sound was pretty good, if not perfect. The light show was fantastic. Best light show since Billy Corgan's last year.

Unkle - Rabbit in your headlights (underdog remix)
There's also a great 3-d remix of that song.

Somehow I overlooked your post earlier. Azaghal1981 is correct; the tune was indeed UNKLE (feat. Thom Yorke) with "Rabbit In Your Headlights" as remixed by Underdog.
And I love those drums too!

Sure the bass hits, but the highs and mids are not getting there the same as the rest of the room. Best sound is either about 25 feet from the stage, center or often by the light desk or mixing board.
Sound was A LITTLE UNDERWHELMING from where i was (1 person was between me and the barricade)
other than that though, REALLY enjoyed it and am very happy i'm going back again tonight.
amazing show. thought there could have been more bass but I loved it.
Last night's show was much better than the first night, for the simple fact that they were much looser, I think, and it just seemed like everyone brought their A game. LOVED it.
Black Milk was TOOOOOOOO good.
