Oh yes, they certainly do. And the frustration is that they'll spend 10-12 minutes or more on the pledge drive part in the middle of the program (which they typically do 3 - 4 times per two hour program) – hawking the same promotional items every minute or two (for a $100 donation, you get Suze Orman's book PLUS the one-of-a-kind fanny pack with secret money pocket). I'm not besmirching PBS, but it's annoying when it's during a show you're trying to watch. Taping and skipping is the way to go (or Tivo, of course).
