well it's good thing it wasn't started here, around here they'll get no juice from the forum regulars or the 9:30 staph. especially the staph… more threads have been closed because of such discussions than any other.

We should all reply and say how wonderful the staph are at the 930. That would take the wind out of their sails.

Duh, I was thinking in forum/bulletin board terms. There I go staying inside the box! Thanks…
I thought I'd seen that, though, posts with long threads…

This is my response!
"Sorry to hear of your bad experience at the 930 club. I've been attending shows there for over 15 years (both locations) and have found the staff to be without a doubt the best I've come across anywhere, and I've been to many concerts in both Europe and the US. I'm so confident with the 930 club employees that I allow my 15 year old daughter to attend concerts there, but only there.
The only people I've witnessed being escorted out of the club have been those who've committed illegal acts, (drugs, trying to buy alcohol underage, fighting etc)
If you feel you have been treated unfairly I suggest you contact the club directly because I know they would like to be aware of your complaints so they may rectify it to your satisfaction."

can someone tell me why I wasn't allowed into a recent show for "smelling of alcohol?" that's kinda annoying considering i didn't/wouldn't bring shit into the club…there are plenty of rules posted outside of the club, but none of them say you can't drink a bit before goin into the club. so, what's the fake ass rule i violated staph???

i'm going to assume that you're underage. if so, we are not willing to accept the liability of having someone underage and under the influence of alcohol in the club. if the abc board or police found you in the club under the influence, they would assume that you drank there, and we would suffer the consequences.
not all rules are posted on signs outside the club. there's no sign that says "don't punch people in the face." if someone punched you in the face, i bet you'd want them kicked out. common sense is rule number one. if you are not of legal drinking age, don't drink before you come to the club. if we can tell that you have been drinking, you will not be admitted. if you are of legal drinking age, don't get stumbling drunk before you come, or you may be turned away as well.

thatguy's response has to be on the money, as I often have met up with folks and had drinks before going to the club. I'm of age, and I''ve never been stumbling drunk going *in* to the club. :D But I've certainly "had a few" on occasion before a show.
